Drafted like a plat, delivered like software.

A paper-and-ink direction that borrows from the documents a survey firm is judged by — the recorded plat, the title block, the surveyor’s seal. Warm paper background, deep ink-navy sidebar, and one sparing accent: the orange of flagging tape and traverse lath, used only to mark what’s active.

Why this reads as professional

The plat as design source

Survey deliverables are black ink on white sheets with ruled title blocks. This concept carries that over: heavy ink rules under table headers, squared corners, a drafting grid behind the letterhead.

Ink sidebar, paper workspace

The deep-navy sidebar frames the workspace like a plat border and gives the light UI real contrast, so it feels authoritative rather than airy.

Flagging-tape accent

Orange appears exactly where a crew would tie flagging: the active nav item, the live job, the unread indicator. Never for decoration — only to say “this is marked.”
